Dec 20, 2015 I have a Mac with OS Snow Leopard (10.6.8). Nox emulator for mac. I want to develop with JDK 7 but Oracle's website says JDK need OS 10.7.3 and later. So I followed some questions and answers on a similar topic here on Stackoverflow and found the following answer (by @larsac), using Pacifist to install JDK 7. Be the first to post a review of App for MAC OSX 10.6.8! Additional Project Details Registered 2017-07-03 Report inappropriate content. Recommended Projects. Question: Q: Can't install Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 10. Firewall for mac high sierra. Hello everyone. I've been trying to install Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 10 and printer for ages. I did download the 10.6.8 COMBO update but when it's time to install I get the following warning:The following disk images couldn't be opened The same for the Java. To get the latest Java from Oracle, you will need Mac OS X 10.7.3 and above. If you have Java 7 or later versions, you will see a Java icon under System Preferences. Java versions 6 and below are listed in the Java Preferences.app located in the Applications Utilities folder on your Mac. I do not have Mac version 10.7.3 (Lion) or higher.

RE: Crash at Launch - Mac OS 10.6.8 You need Java 7, see http://www.atlauncher.com/help/java7mac/ I may sound like an asshole sometimes, but I promise you I'm not trying to be on purpose so please don't take anything I say to heart |

RE: Crash at Launch - Mac OS 10.6.8 Ah, I see. Snow Leopard doesn't seem to have an update for Java 7, that requires Lion or newer. Thank you for your time and swift reply! |

RE: Crash at Launch - Mac OS 10.6.8 Gray, depending on your Mac, you can look to upgrade to OS X Mavericks v10.9 for free if it meets minimum requirements listed here: http://www.apple.com/osx/specs/ If your Mac is unable to upgrade to Mavericks, you may still be able to upgrade to 10.7 for $19.99 listed available from Apple here: http://store.apple.com/us/product/D6106Z/A/os-x-lion Now if you are running Java 7 and still find ATL launcher not working.. you can review this post that I just updated that details how to change ATL Settings Java Path (Default Apple's Java 6) location to Oracle's Java 7 Path location. ATL Thread: http://forums.atlauncher.com/thread-3232.html Hope this helps. Good Luck! |
